When dropping off and picking up your children please be careful of children crossing the street mid-block and not looking carefully. When you drop off your children please insist that they cross at the corner with the Crossing Guard for safety. We don't want our students to be injured when accidents can be easily avoided by students walking a few more steps to the corner. Several near misses have been reported.
Students are riding their bikes without wearing bicycle helmets. This is of serious concern because of the greater number of cars due to the increase in our student body and that more of our students are riding their bikes are navigating crowded streets and sidewalks. Riders are focused on getting to school and not on the cars turning into the cut out or pulling out from the curb after dropping off their children.
PLEASE HELP US KEEP GW STUDENTS SAFE!
